Amy Amy Janet JanetAubrey Plaza is a comedian and performer born in the month of June, 1984. Her deadpan sense humor makes her a popular choice in comedy. She plays April Ludgate on "Parks and Recreation." After performing the improv show and sketch comedy in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Plaza began her web-based television debut in the series "The Jeannie Tate Show." Later, she would appear in Judd Apatow's "Funny People" as well as "Scott Pilgrim and. the World" later in her professional career. Today is her birthday. Aubrey Christina Plaza, daughter of financial advisor David Plaza and attorney Bernadette Plaza was born in Wilmington Delaware. Her father is Puerto Rican, while her mother is Irish and English. Plaza received a degree from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and a Catholic girls' school, and both of them in 2002. As a senior in her high school years, she was the President of the Student Council at her school and participated in Wilmington Drama League performances. In 2004, as she was enrolled in her second year in college, Plaza was struck by a stroke. It resulted in her being diagnosed with expressive aphasia and a period of paralysis. Her condition is currently recovering.
